I'm Abby Sigler, a journalist and Managing Editor of The Guardsman.

Based in San Francisco, I primarily cover culture, community, and the arts.

At The Guardsman, I've covered everything from institutional failures at City College to the artists and filmmakers in its orbit. My three-part investigative series on ghost student fraud in the community college system was recognized by the San Francisco Press Club and the NorCal Society of Professional Journalists, as was a feature on CCSF's Diego Rivera mural.

I studied Cognitive Science at UC San Diego and journalism at City College. I'm originally from Seattle and came to journalism after a brief stint in tech. When I'm not reporting, you can find me at the movies or in the park.
